Q: what flowmaster muffler should I get for a toyota tacoma?
I buddy of mine is letting me barrow his 2001 Toyota Tacoma for a couple weeks while mine is being worked on in return I want to get him a flowmaster muffler. it’s a one in, one out and I’m looking for a pretty aggressive sound.

A: The most quiet one since your coma (short for Tacoma) will sound like a fart cannon instead of the cool sound you are seeking with a loud one.

Q: how to replace spark plugs in a 2000 Toyota Tacoma 4 cylinder, distributor less ignition?
how to replace spark plugs 2 and 3 in a 2000 Toyota Tacoma 4 cylinder distributorless ignition
do I need to disconnect the intake manifold to remove plugs 2 and 3?

A: Under the hood of the car, you will see 4 tubes (common). Pull them out and where they were you will see spark plugs inside, and just replace them. It’s that simple :)

Q: what years can i interchange a 91 toyota tacoma?
i have a 91 toyota tacoma that i think has a fuel pump problem. i need to buy a replacement, however i do not have 200$ what years can i interchange the fuel pump with on the tacoma?

A: Try for 95 Toyota Tacoma fuel pump for your 91 Tacoma. I found a site Buy Auto Parts http://www.buyautoparts.com/autoparts/Toyota/Tacoma/Fuel_Pump.html which offers fuel pump for 95 to 2004. So, its better to get suggestion from the parts expert of the site through toll free number 1-888-907-7225.

Q: Why does the Toyota tacoma 5 speed auto get better mileage than the 6 speed stick?
I was reading my toyota tacoma brochure and i noticed that the V6 toyota tacoma with the 5 speed automatic got better mileage than the 6 speed manual. Is this true or are they lying to my face because i thought manuals always got better mileage than automatics plus the manual has one extra gear so the engine runs slower therefore it uses less gas soo explain why this is

A: An automatic is programed to ALWAYS be in the best possible gear for performance and MPG.

People driving a manual sometimes get lazy and don’t do the same, and often over rev before shifting.

The 5 spd auto has a locking torque converter, which essentially acts like a 6th gear, and, even FEELS like another shift when it locks.

Q: The cost of getting my Toyota Tacoma buffed?
I have a 2002 black Toyota Tacoma, in great condition with a few minor scratches. I want the shine back to my paint, though! it looks dull. So Im thinking about getting it buffed. How much would this be?

Thanks !

A: it depends on what you want. for example do you want to have the interior detailed too, and get it as clean as possible, so it looks good with your nicely buffed car? or not? Usually you can probably get a decent wash and a cut and buff plus the interior for 150 160 bucks, depends on who the shop is and how busy they are, somw shops do hand wash and waxing, if you decide to let a pro shop do it, make darn sure they know what they are doing, because some new guy with a power buffer, can cut, and burn through paint in like .5 seconds. A professional cut and buff, would be a hand wash, a light cut (it may only need to be polished out, if the paint is good, and there is some minor scratching in the clear coat) ask the shop what they think, but if the job is done right, the car comes out looking great.

A: I am not sure what state or city you live in. Around here where i live at it would be close to 60.

Q: Toyota Tacoma tailgate got a large dent, how much to fix?
My uncle backed up my 2005 Tacoma pickup truck in to a tree (when the tailgate was down) and the tailgate now has a large dent. How much would it cost to fix it (most likely get a new, painted one)?

Thanks!

A: You are looking at at least a grand. Finding one in a junkyard will be hard also since Toyota tailgates tend to rust out.

Q: Can I fit 33 Inch tires on my stock 1998 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner?
Hey,
Can I fit 33″ tires on my stock Tacoma? How bad will it rub? I already have 33×12.50×15 at the rear and it run great but now I want to even out my truck. So could I put this size at the front without problems?
Thanks!!!

A: 33x 12.5 will rub on the front when you turn the tires….It rubs on the back of the inner fender well…I had a 98 with 3 inch spacer lift…I took off the mud flap and had to trim the plastic on the inner fender…Still they rubbed…I did,nt want to cut sheetmetal so i bought a set of 33×9.5 swampers…My problem was solved…

Q: 1996 Toyota Tacoma, 4×4, automatic and i am having a loud roaring noise.?
I have a 1996 Toyota Tacoma and whenever I drive it I have a loud roaring or grinding noise. I checked my fluids and there still good and I know its not the brakes, there still good. I hear it all the time, its louder when im going slower but I think thats because the wind isnt as loud slower. It sounds like it is coming from under the truck and not under the hood. Any ideas or suggestions would be awesome. Thanks.

A: it is a bad u-joint, only costs around 20 each and they are a breeze to put on for anyone mechanically inclined, I would replace both of them on your main drive shaft because you only want to have to take off the shaft once, then from now on don’t forget to keep them lubed, most fast oil change places never properly lube your car

Q: 1996 toyota tacoma good price or not?
its a 1996 reg cab toyota tacoma. its a 2.7 liter 4×4 with 190k miles. he said the lowest he will go is 3000. i looked at kbb its worth less than 3000 in excellent cond but he says they hold there value and they do. what do you think is it a fair price or not it doesnt have rust seems to be in good running cond. let me know what you think thanks.

A: Dont get that get a Toyota BJ cruiser Macho 1974 thats what my dad has it weighs 4 tons small windscreen so if you crash there is a small chance of you flying through the windscreen and ending up under a car made with a 3.7 litre mercedes benz engine big 6 stud wheels two seats but a kind of army thing at the back where you can get about six people to sit and it has a winch like a tow truck its got a kind of box shape but to me its quite a attractive looking vehicle for a truck my dads done about 320k in his and its still running Im sure they dont cost that much My dad swapped his Daihatsu Fourtrak for it

Q: Anyone know how to turn off the valet mode in a 2005 Toyota Tacoma?
I had my oil changed and now the alarm system is disabled. I found what I believe is the valet switch but haven’t had any luck. Also, tried turning the key to acc and off 3 times like Toyota said & no luck. I think there must be a way to do it with the remote???

A: You’re probably doing it too fast, slow down.

Q: Can a Toyota Tacoma CD Player play MP3 only discs?
I bought a Toyota Tacoma and I cannot get my burned CDs with MP3 files on them to play. Regular burned cds that were converted into CD format play just fine….is there a way to make the CD player play MP3 only discs? I do have the factory 6 disc in dash CD player as of now. If it will not work I’m getting a new one installed.

A: Sorry, no. Toyota factory radios can’t decode MP3 formats. Burned CD-R’s should play, but not CD-RW’s. CDA format will play, but not MP3’s. Sell your old radio and buy a new one. You can actually get pretty good money for OEM in-dash changers.

Q: Does anyone know where the tailer light harness is on a 2007 toyota Tacoma?
I need the specific location, (not under the bed) ie by license plate or tail light etc. No one seems to know not even toyota dealers

A: you might have to install one

Q: Is 129000 miles too much for a Toyota Tacoma?
I’m looking to buy a used truck, a Toyota Tacoma in particular. I have seen them ranging in miles from 30000 all the way to 250000. So I’m not sure about 129000. I know that Toyota has a great reliability rating and they can go several miles. Do you think 129k is too much?
The year of it is 2000

A: If the price is right, it runs good and everything looks good… I wouldn’t be afraid of it. I’ve bought cars with 180,000 miles on them and still driving them 2 years later. You may need to do some repairs on them. but still a lot cheaper than new ones.

Q: Which truck is best Toyota Tacoma or Nissan Frontier/Titan?
I want to get a used truck (about 2007). I really like the Toyota Tacoma but I would like to see what other people think about the Nissan trucks.

A: Toyota
