Q: I just bought a used camaro 11 days ago and it died on me going down the road?
dealership mechanic says it needs the motor replaced. I bought this camaro because of the low mileage thinking it would be reliable so my question is are they allowed to put a used engine it my car that may have far more miles on it. (car is under warranty, they are responsible for 100% parts and labor on the engine drivetrain and state inspection items) 2002 Camaro V6 69,000 miles
A: Almost without question, they are allowed to put a used motor in it If they even honor the warranty in the first place. (Many do not)
And there is nothing you can say, do or legally demand. The replacement motor can have 246,000 miles on it and it doesn’t matter.

Q: The new alarm I put in my recently purchased used Camaro does not unlock the door !! Anyone have any ideas why
The only time it unlocks using the alarm fob is after I unlock it initially with a key. Only then will it lock and unlock using the alarm fob. After a while, it goes back to not unlocking itself, and I again have to manually unlock it. The car didnt come with a remoteless entry key fob when i bought it. Just two keys, one to lock and unlock doors and one to start car. Of course the alarm i had installed came with it and a kill switch.

A: Yea, the Transformers movie camaro “bumblebee” was’nt even the prototype camaro.. it was a fiberglass camaro body built on an 06′ Pontiac GTO Chassis. The fuel top didnt move, the air conditioning didnt work and the gauges were just for show. However, the wheels in the back were 22″ and in the front, 21″. Bumblebee was assembled by Saleen. The car had the 2007 corvette z06 7.0 liter, 505hp v8 engine. It has been sold for aproximately 3.4 million dollars to a rich private owner who plans on showcasing the car at this years SEMA event.

A: Hi, Your best bet to find one at a cheap price would be at an auto auction. There are public auto auctions in every state, so you shouldn’t have to go too far to find one near you. I’ll give you a link to a site that has more info about auctions if you want to check it out.

A: You should be able to pick one for $10-$15 from Pull-A-Part or your local junk yard if you can find one. I would sell you my old one but shipping would cost as much as getting one from a junkyard. Autozone also has Specture customizable intake parts where you can make your own cold air intake all for about $50.
Q: Buying a used 1987 camaro iroc z with no transmission GOOD or BAD?
I talked to the guy “he lives by me” and he said the original transmission went out but he has the new transmission ready to be put back in along with a B&M megashifter and a 2200 Stall. The body has no rust on it. What do you think?

A: I drove an 86 Iroc in 1986, and at the time it was a nice ride. I doubt that the 87 was much of an improvement. In any case, I would be surprised if this has been classified as a “classic”. If it is in the classic category, then it would be a good deal even without the trans installed. It does depend though, on whether there are any other major issues that are not so visible. I would find a GM mechanic with experience on that car who could give you a checklist of what to look for.

Q: 1979 used Camaro rally rims?
I currently have four 14×7 rally wheels off of a 1979 Camaro. These rims are referenced as color keyed rally rims that was an option in 1979 They are used but in good condition. What should I ask for them IF I were to sell them? I want to ask a fair market price. Any assistance would be appreciated.
